1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the FindSquad mobile application ("App") or the FindSquad website (together, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by FindSquad, Inc., a Delaware corporation.

2. Description of Service

FindSquad is a coordination tool that helps volunteers organize search efforts for lost pets, missing persons, and lost items using GPS tracking and sector-division algorithms. FindSquad provides coordination software only. We do not conduct searches, employ or vet searchers, or guarantee any outcome.

3. Not an Emergency Service

FindSquad is not an emergency service and is not a substitute for professional search-and-rescue or law enforcement. If a person is missing or you face any emergency, contact 911 (or your local emergency number) and the appropriate authorities first. Do not rely on the App as your primary means of summoning help. The App may be unavailable, delayed, or inaccurate, and depends on cellular connectivity and device GPS that we do not control.

4. Eligibility and Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 13 to create an account or share location data. 5. Search Types and Pricing

Search creators pay a one-time fee per search. Volunteers who join a search never pay. Current pricing is the same on the web and in the app:

Missing Person Searches: $0.99, active for 7 days
Lost Pet Searches: $3.99, active for 3 days
Lost Item Searches: $4.99, active for 3 days
Evidence Searches: $19.99, active for 7 days
Volunteer Participation: Always FREE

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may change. The price displayed at the time of purchase governs your transaction.

6. Missing Person Searches

Missing person searches are offered at a minimal price of $0.99 to deter abuse while keeping them affordable. Filing a false missing-person report may be a crime. We may verify information and report suspected fraud or misuse to law enforcement.

7. Payment Terms

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (Apple, Google, or Stripe, depending on platform). Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or in cases of technical failure or duplicate charges. To request a refund for a qualifying issue, contact us at the address in Section 17.

8. Location Data and Privacy

When you join or create a search, you consent to share your real-time location with the other participants in that search for its duration. Location data tied to a search is deleted within approximately 10 days after the search ends, and you may request earlier deletion at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Volunteer Participation and Assumption of Risk

Search activities take place in the physical world and carry inherent risks. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. FindSquad does not supervise searches or searchers. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Liability Waiver & Release, which is incorporated into these Terms.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

File false, fraudulent, or harassing searches
Use the Service to stalk, surveil, harass, or threaten any person
Use another person's location data for any purpose outside the search you share
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any law
Reverse engineer, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service

11. Intellectual Property

The FindSquad name, App, website, and underlying search algorithms are owned by FindSquad, Inc. and are protected by patent-pending status, copyright, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service under these Terms. All other rights are reserved.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. FINDSQUAD DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY SEARCH WILL SUCCEED, THAT COVERAGE DATA IS COMPLETE OR ACCURATE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED. GPS ACCURACY DEPENDS ON DEVICE HARDWARE, SIGNAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS AND IS TYPICALLY 5 TO 15 METERS IN FIELD CONDITIONS.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINDSQUAD, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SEARCH GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, harmful, or unlawful activity.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above, and where practical we will provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
